Analog Devices Inc. EVAL-ADGM1004SDZ Evaluation Board

Analog Devices Inc. EVAL-ADGM1004SDZ Evaluation Board is a demonstration and evaluation platform for the ADGM1004 Dual-Chip, Radio Frequency (RF) Switching Solution. The ADGM1004 includes a single-pole, four-throw (SP4T), microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) switch, and a control chip in a compact, 5mm x 4mm, LFCSP package. The SP4T switch uses Analog Devices' MEMS switch technology. This technology provides optimum performance in bandwidth, power handling capability, and linearity for RF applications. The control chip generates the high-voltage signals needed for the MEMS switch and allows the designer to control its operation through a simple and flexible complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS)/low voltage transistor-transistor logic (LVTTL) compliant parallel interface.

The EVAL-ADGM1004SDZ connects to the USB port of a PC via a System Demonstration Platform (SDP) Board, such as the EVAL-SDP-CB1Z (SDP-B) Controller Board.

The Analog Devices EVAL-ADGM1004SDZ is fitted with connectors for RF and control signals, as well as links that allow the user to control the operation of the switch and evaluate the performance of the ADGM1004. The RF1 to RF4, and RFC SMA edge connectors on the EVAL-ADGM1004SDZ connect to each switch on the ADGM1004 for performance evaluation purposes. The RF5 and RF6 connectors connect to a transmission line to estimate the loss associated with the PCB.
