Analog Devices Inc. HMC-VVD106 Voltage-Variable Attenuators

Analog Devices HMC-VVD106 features monolithic GaAs PIN diode based Voltage-Variable Attenuators (VVA). HMC-VVD106 has a low 1.5dB insertion loss, +17dB input IP3, and wide 22dB dynamic range. The balanced topology delivers an excellent 15dB return loss. Designers can apply a single control voltage to either side of the die.

All bond pads and the die backside are Ti/Au metalized. The PIN diode devices are fully passivated to ensure reliable operation. The wide-band VVA MMIC is compatible with conventional die attach methods, as well as thermocompression and thermosonic wire bonding. This design makes the HMC-VVD106 well-suited for MCM and hybrid microcircuit applications.
