Microchip Technology Automotive 32-Bit Microcontrollers are designed to meet various automotive needs. SAM V70 The SAM V70 series of microcontrollers is a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M7 AEC-Q100 Grade 2-based device that provides a combination of connectivity interfaces including CAN FD, MediaLB, and HS USB with up to 300MHz (1500 CoreMarks) in performance.
SAM V71 The SAM V71 series of microcontrollers extend the SAM V70 series by adding Ethernet-AVB capabilities as well as providing more extensive memory options. Both the SAM V70 and SAM V71 offer excellent Digital Signal Processor (DSP) processing for audio applications as well as supporting AUTOSAR.
PIC32MZ EF The PIC32MZ EF series offers a wide range of connectivity interfaces with CAN 2.0B, Hi-Speed USB OTG, and 10/100 Ethernet as well as high-performance analog. The PIC32MZ EF is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and is ideal for applications like ADAS which need connectivity as well as analog performance. In addition, AUTOSAR is also supported by the PIC32MZ EF family.
SAM DA1 The SAM DA1 series of microcontrollers are entry-level MCUs that include a Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) which enables efficient capacitive touch measurement on sensors that function as buttons, sliders, and wheels for HMI applications such as door handle sensors or in-cabin touch. The LIN driver is supported by IHR. AEC-Q100 Grade 2 is the current temperature range supported on the SAM DA1.
SAM D21 The SAM D21 series of microcontrollers extends the capability of the SAM DA1 series for both memory as well as temperature. The SAM D21 is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and extends the memory to 256KB of Flash. As with the SAM DA1, the LIN driver is supported by IHR.
SAM D51 The SAM D51 high-performance microcontroller series is targeted for general purpose applications using the 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4 processor with Floating Point Unit (FPU), running up to 120MHz, with up to 1MB Dual Panel Flash with ECC and up to 256KB of SRAM with ECC.
SAM C21 The SAM C21 series of microcontrollers extends the capability of the SAM D21 series by adding dual CAN FD as well as offering 5V operation for harsh environments. The SAM C21 is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and offers up to 256KB of onboard Flash. Stacks for both LIN and CAN are supported by third parties, including IHR and Vector.
SAME5x The SAM E51 high-performance microcontrollers are targeted for general purpose applications using the 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4 processor with Floating Point Unit (FPU), running up to 120MHz, up to 1MB Dual Panel Flash with ECC, CAN-FD, and up to 256KB of SRAM with ECC.
SAM Lx The SAM L series of microcontrollers are built with innovative picoPower® technology to deliver best-in-class low power consumption down to 25µA/MHz in active mode, under 100nA in sleep mode, and fast wake-up times of 1.2µS. These MCUs have achieved an EEMBC-certified ULPMark™ score of 410, which is the highest score for an Arm Cortex-M23 or Cortex-M0+ class device. In addition to ultra-low-power capabilities, these devices feature an enhanced Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC), robust security, Arm TrustZone® technology, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption, Full Speed USB host and device, Event System and Sleepwalking, 12-bit analog, built-in op-amps, and much more.
PIC32MM The PIC32MM series of microcontrollers provides up to 256KB of ECC program Flash with small package options. In addition, the PIC32MM offers eXtreme Low Power (XLP) technology and LIN and USB connectivity. The PIC32MM is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and is ideal for LIN-connected applications for in-cabin or body electronics.
